Home Office Nook Makeover

I thought I would share a little project that I have been working on. My little home office!

Our place is not that spacious and now that I do nails in the studio I no longer have room for my desk and computer to be in there. I had my computer on the dining table for a little while there but that was a short term thing and while it was there is drove me insane, my dining table was constantly cluttered and we were having family meals on the couch so that wouldn’t do.

Thank goodness IKEA finally opened in Canberra and I could get to work on my home office to try and get as organised as possible!

I went with the Besta Burs desk from Ikea, I liked that it was long but also narrow and didn’t intrude into the space of the dining room. I was tossing up between this one and another one that they have which is quite similar but substantially different in terms of price but the shiny finish and the fact that it is so narrow finally won me over.

I purchased a lot of the small decorative pieces from a canberra based home decor online store called the Dusty Poppy (still open but now operating from QLD).
