I am always scouring Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration and when I saw the bath caddy on @oheightohnine‘s account I couldn’t help myself but… ask my hubby to make one for me…lazy I know but my birthday was just around the corner so I used that as an excuse!
Phil picked a few pieces of oak in different thicknesses from the local hardware store to see which one sat best in our bath. After measuring the width that it needed to be he cut it to size, sanded and varnished it with a waterproof lacquer so that it could handle being splashed with water (which i’m sure miss M has done several times since during bath time) and Viola!
I love it to bits- it was so much more cost effective than buying the ones I have found for sale and i’m a little fussy with the shade of timber used in our home- It needs to be in the blond timber family or it drives me a bit insane.
I do love a little DIY because you get exactly what you want!
